It’s been confirmed – fans of Parks and Recreation will be happy to know that a reunion is happening. But not quite like you would imagine! Amy Poehler has teased us with what to expect in the next coming weeks, as the second season of Duncanville drops. And we might be seeing (or hearing) some very familiar people in the Fox animated series…
IMDb describes Duncanville as:
“An average kid named Duncan dreams of making it big without having to wear a suit and tie to do so”.
Poehler plays the teenage boy, with Ty Burrell also voicing the character Jack. Poehler joked:
“Well you know I actually relate a lot to a teenage boy which I don’t know what that says about me. I’ve often played characters that are like ‘little engines that could’ that really drive things, and we really wanted to have fun playing a character that didn’t do any of that”.
So what does any of this have to do with a reunion? Well Poehler also explained that she invited her Parks and Rec co stars to jump onboard with Duncanville. Yes that’s right, Poehler’s pals Aubrey Plaza, Nick Offerman and Adam Scott have reunited to guest star on the show Poehler has co-created and we couldn’t be happier!
Poehler said:
“We really are genuine, loving fans of each other so we try whenever we can to find ways to work together. When we put the call out to Aubrey and Adam and Nick, they said yes right away, which was great. We weren’t ever in the same room because there are a few people that have restraining orders out against me”.
So while their reunion wasn’t technically in the flesh, it seems the Parks and Recreation cast didn’t need much persuading to jump on board! How sweet! Now we just need a reboot, a movie, anything!
