J.K. Rowling Promotes Pro-Women XX-XY Athletics

J.K. Rowling isn’t an influencer in the traditional sense.

She’s not begging for “likes” on social media or using filters to put her best face forward. The “Harry Potter” author still understands her cultural clout.

She uses it sparingly.

Case in point: The author shared a powerful ad promoting women’s sports to her 14.2 million followers.

The clip in question, which quickly generated north of 2.4 million views on X, is from XX-XY Athletics. The new clothing line, created by author Jennifer Sey, supports women and women’s sports. That might have sounded generic a decade ago.

Not these days.

XX-XY Athletics rejects trans women competing against biological women on the playing field. The contentious issue has long tentacles, starting at the sports level and expanding to the current culture wars.

The progressive Rowling is no stranger to the latter.

In 2020 she spoke out against select elements of the modern trans agenda. A Cancel Culture campaign unlike any other erupted against her.

She was physically threatened, savaged in the press and saw her name removed from public spaces. She stood tall, never wavering in her position.

She survived. She’s even playing a key role in Max’s upcoming “Harry Potter” series. That means corporate America didn’t give up on her even if many fellow progressives did.

Her latest social media post proves she’s not done speaking out.

The message comes at a critical time in the debate over women and sports.

President Donald Trump has taken a stand alongside Rowling and Sey. That aligns with the will of the people. Americans overwhelming reject trans women competing against biological women in sports.

The new clip is part of XX-XY Athletics’ “Real Girls Rock” campaign tied to Feb. 5’s National Girls & Women in Sports Day.

“Those who choose to stand up and do the right thing demonstrate enormous strength of character. Because most people would rather stand with the crowd than speak the truth and do the right thing,” Sey said in a press statement. “The athletes featured in the film prove that sports serve as a training ground for developing young people into outstanding, courageous individuals. We wanted to honor them with this film, when no other brand has the guts to do it.”

Sey, a former U.S. National Gymnastics champion who stood tall against extreme COVID-19 mandates, thanked Rowling for her support.

Editor’s Note: It’s a brutal time to be an independent journalist, but it’s never been more necessary given the sorry state of the corporate press. If you’re enjoying Hollywood in Toto, I hope you’ll consider leaving a coin (or two) in our Tip Jar.
