Spencer Pratt Hammers Andrew Garfield Over Billionaire Attack

When we think about politically active stars, the following names rush to mind:

Andrew Garfield deserves a place at their ideological table.

The erstwhile Spider-Man routinely uses his bully pulpit to push progressive talking points. And he’s no stranger to the culture wars, insisting a future wall-crawler film feature a gay Spidey.

Now, Garfield is doing his best Bernie Sanders impression, targeting the “billion-aihs” who are destroying the country.

Allegedly.

Garfield stars in this week’s new movie, “The Uprising.” The film follows a peasant revolt against King Richard II, an “uprising” fueled by outrage over excessive taxation. The saga is based on true events that later inspired the Robin Hood folklore.

Garfield is talking to the press about the film, one that appears to be heading down a dark path.

There’s little buzz on the film as is. The marketing team briefly attempted to promote the film’s flimsy Robin Hood roots before frantically backpedaling.

Didn’t they realize the other “Robin Hood” film with Hugh Jackman bombed just a few weeks ago?

Plus, the “first reactions” for “The Uprising” were rather poor, and those results typically skew very, very positive.

Now, Garfield wants to turn the film into a DSA treatise. He told the press what he thinks select audiences will take away from the film.

“If there’s any billionaires watching, I hope they’re scared s***less.”

That didn’t sit well with Spencer Pratt. The former L.A. mayoral candidate took to X to set Garfield straight.

You mean…like the billionaires who greenlight your movies and stroke all your multi-million dollar paychecks? Or they good?

Not only is it unwise to market “The Uprising” with a strident political posture, the anti-wealth screeds will also fall flat coming from millionaires.

If only that would stop them.
