HUGE: ‘Gutfeld!’ Scores Massive Ratings in Trump 2.0

Watching Fox News’ “Gutfeld!” can be disorienting, even for conservatives.

The late-night show tackles many of the jokes deemed off-limits to broadcast and cable TV shows. Think “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” … “The Tonight Show” and “The Late Show,” among others.

Wait … we can joke about these things? Revolutionary!

Here’s just one example:

Late-night hosts have strenuously ignored Bass and Gov. Gavin Newsom during the California wildfires.

Not Fox News host Greg Gutfeld. The former “Red Eye” star and featured panelists Kat Timpf and Tyrus tee off nightly on both Democrats and Republicans. That rebellious streak, and a certain president’s momentous return, have given the show a huge ratings boost, according to LateNighter.

Of Gutfeld!‘s four new episodes last week (the show was pre-empted Monday night), three drew more than four million viewers—a threshold the show had only surpassed four times before.

All told, the show’s nightly average audience for the week of January 20, 2025 was 4,094,000 total viewers. That’s up 64 percent compared to its 2024 nightly average audience of 2,500,000 total viewers, which itself was a record-breaking number for the show.

The show often beats its late-night competitors — with two caveats.

The show airs at 10 pm ET, which gives it an advantage over the competition. Their shows start at 11:30 pm ET (or later), a time when some viewers have called it a night. But “Gutfeld!” airs on cable television while the others call broadcast TV home.

Either way, “Gutfeld!” is growing.

The show’s top-rated episode to date featured an appearance by then-candidate Trump. Chances are he’ll return to the “Gutfeld!” set at some point this year.

Even more likely?

The President won’t be invited to yuk it up with any of Gutfeld’s competitors.
